We received over 30 pounds of donated meat for the Hunters against Hunger program last month, however most of the meat was in solid steak form. We need to extend a special thank you to Ray the owner and head butcher at the Sandy Meat Market for grinding and wrapping the meat into "user friendly" packages in short order so we got the food to the Sandy Community Action Center before Christmas. Thanks again to everyone that donated! That was a great start, but remember that there is still a need for more donations. With the current economic problems in Oregon, more people are out of work than ever. We are encouraging you Hunters to take another look in your freezers and see if perhaps you have harvested more game than your family needs. If possible, please make a small donation of a few pounds of professionally prepared game meat or some canned goods.
